This app is great for studying the word. Has some very well put together reading plans and syncs perfectly between my phone, computer, and iPad. I really cannot say enough about how useful this is to me.

Love the kjv and how I can take notes and highlight :)
I LOVE this app on my mac, iphone, and ipad. I use it all the time. HOWEVER, it bugs me that it is missing a few features. First of all, I REALLY NEED to be able to export my notes to a useable format outside of the app!! Please bring back this feature. I used to be able to export to Evernote, but it seems that this feature has been lost. Secondly, WHY isn’t there a way to compare ONE verse with all the bible translations with one click? I have purchase several translations and would LOVE to click a button and see all of them right there. PLEASE add this feature. Besides those two imporant things, I LOVE THIS APP. The ability to add inline notes has been AWESOME. As I read, I can see the notes that I wrote on a particular verse from days gone by. I love this. THANK YOU to the amazing people at Olive Tree from bringing us this wonderful app!
Another six months of this app running on my Macbook. I have emailed Olive Treee several times to no avail. Oh they respond but just with the same comment. “An update is coming” This app locks up, resets, looses sync and is clumbsy and hard to use. I would dump the entire app for LOGOS if it wasn’t for the IPAD Verison. But this Macbook version is terrible and buggy. total waste of space on my pc. Now don’t get me wrong, the IPAD Versions is my most loved an used application on my IPAD. Love Love Love it. But when I sit down in front of my MACBOOK. I’ll be back in a few months to see if things change. Mar 16 ================================================================================================================================ The big selling point on this app is that you can have the same info on your Phone, iPad and PC. All you highlights and notes can be pulled up on each. PERFECT IDEA! and something I have come to love. My study life is 100% more effienct and organized. Imagine I can take notes in church on my IPAD, then review and update while waiting for my tire to be installed on my car. Then go home on jump on the desktop and have all the updated info there. Wonderful I love it. Plus since loaded on your device you are NOT depending on internet access. Love Love Love it. But all that said — the Macbook Version is full of BUGS and you can tell there has not been much efforts put into this. I have email Tech Support many many times on the restarts, lockups and plan hard to use features. — But I would never ever give up on this app becuase its is so much a part of my IPAD Life I could never dump it. Come On Olive Tree fix the the MACBOOK Version Nov 15
I have gone mostly digital now, and Olive Tree’s app and resources are good. It is easy to use, and spans all your devices. The only problem I have is that since my library with Olive Tree is huge, I think it causes the App to crash quite often on my iPhone or iPad., due to having so many resources downloaded in it, but not sure really. But it does seem if I don’t have all the digital content downloaded, I don’t have any issues. Also, I am still waiting for the NIV Seredepity Bible to come out with them. I have requested it, but not there yet.
The Olive Tree Bible study app is a tool I have used daily for years. It has great resources which allow me to dig deeper into specific topics or doctrinal studies. The true beauty of this app is it how it scales with the reader’s growth. It functions perfectly for a novice bible study beginner, or the well versed theologian. From Greek words studies to finding easy to read translations, it is built to meet the needs of all levels of bible students. This application continues to excel at practical usefulness and quality of content added on a regular basis. Love it and highly recommend it!
The program is awesome. With such a wide variety of study aids, you can build quite a large library - and purchase as you need them which is nice on the budget!
I love this app, use it all the time, but once I got my Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display, I noticed that it looks very grainy. Hopefully soon, they update the resolution so that it matches the beautiful retina display.
As a pastor for over 15 years, this is the app I use the most on my macbook, iPhone, and iPad. The intergration across the devices is excellent and the sync is incredible. Since leaving the Microsoft world, I had to find a bible app that could replace my e-sword app (windows only at the time). After trying many bible apps and testing out their features, the app won me over. I gave it four stars only because I wished that the add-ons like the bible translations and optional books were a little less expensive.
I enjoy the app hugely, it is the best in my limited experience. Being retired and on a restricted income I can’t afford all the helps offered, I do wish that discounts were available through all outlet and not just in the Olive Tree Store. I have to do most of my purchases through iTunes or Amazon gift cards and that is usually a full price purchase that is usually greater than the value of the gift card. That’s my gripe, Oh, and need the update for the Mac too. Still the best app I’ve got bar none. I love the Word of God, the various translations I’ve purchased and all the free resources available, it’s just the best. That’s why I could only give it four stars.
Pretty decent Bible study program, but it has been in great need of an update for well over a year. I have several items in my library now that I have purchased over the past year that I can only access in the iOS version of this app - the Mac App is so far behind that it can’t access these library items. That’s a huge negative as far as I’m concerned. Other than that, functionality is okay. And now they’re letting the iOS version fall behind - iOS 9 has been out for at least 8 months, longer if you count the beta, and still no support for split-screen. It feels like they’ve given up on listening to customers’ concerns.
Whats a reader worth, if it can’t display the content you BOUGHT?! sad...
The promise for a new update for Mac is long overdue. It is a very good program, but there are too many new resources that cannot be used in the current Mac version. I gave only 3 stars because it is an ok app but not worth a 5 until the upgrade is released. Come on Olive Tree let’s get moving on getting the update out.
I’ll keep this short - first off, the Mac OS app has never been very good. It doesn’t even approach the ipad ap. When you hover over a reference, the little pane to the left bottom corner shows a scroll handle. You can never get to it. Second, lookup is terribly cumbersome. But third and most important - this thing hasn’t been updated in ages. It’s old and now, it won’t run well in El Capitan. It crashes a lot. So ONCE AGAIN - I have stranded investment in this product!!! Olive Tree havent updated this app since 2014. Seriously! Come on!
