I swithched from Windows to Mac and after installing the Bible Study App for Mac I cannot read the text froom any of my bible versions, all I see ar small squared where text should be. Can’t find any support for the problem.

I use this app on my computer, iPads, and iPods daily and it is by far the best Bible app out there. The only thing I find a problem is the more note and highlights I add the slower the app runs and the more hesitations in this app (I have between 20,000 and 30,000 notes and highlights).

I was using the app and it crashed out of the blue. I try and reopen it and it says something about report, reopen, or don’t reopen. When I close it out and try to open it again it never opens. I can’t get the app to even reopen new.

Great application! I have been using it for years. First downloaded to my iPad and now my laptop. Keep up the good work.

I give it credit for at least having the King James Bible on, but for some reason this app doesn’t search the KJV when doing a word search. Uninstalling this app, it does me no good.

I love Olive Tree. I’ve switched over from another Bible Software mainly because of how much cheaper their commentaries were on sale for. I have one major complaint and it’s great enough to completely lower my whole experience withthis program. The main compalint that I have is that the text is blurry. I didn’t realize it at first, but I have wondered why my eyes have felt so strained lately. I realized it was because the text on all the windows was blurry. So regardless of how well put together the whole program is, it doesn’t matter if you can’t read the text well. Overall, I have been very happy with the improvements they have made, but this is a major issue. One other complaint that I have is it does not allow for split screen. Nor can you minimize it to be half your screen. This is fairly annoying as I am often on Pages writing thoughts and notes on the text from Olive Tree. Please allow split screen mode on both the computer and on the ipad. Thanks!

There is nothing like realizing two years of Bible study notes are lost, amongst other items stored on a laptop. When I was able to reload this app and EVERY note was restored…..”Priceless!” Wonderful wonderful app!!! My phone and my laptop are routeinly synched and a level of anxiety has been erased. Not syncing with ipad pro on mac, crashes. Great app when fully functional

Would you say this is the most buggy program you have ever seen in your entire life? Answer: Yes, I have never in my life seen an upgrade to a program go so far backwards. Constant crashes, Refuses to sync. When it does sync, average time to sync is about 3 days. And the course there is the constant crashing and freezing. This program should not be marketed as a serious bible study tool. This program only works for very very lite and easy bible reading. You know that when people start adding notes and highlights and resources that it gets slower and slower and buggier and buggier. I’m sure you are making lots of money from people that just buy this to read the bible and they never find out that the higher functions cannot be effectively used. Please either fix the program or be more forthright about the obvious problems the program is experiencing. Please take the time to read the reviews on your own site. Not the glowing ones from people that discovered they can read the bible on an iPad. But from your serious users who have spent hundreds of hours creating notes and sermons and highlights only to find out that the updated program is a disaster and comedy of errors, crashes and frustration. Many of your users spent hundreds of hours categorizing their bibles using highlights. With the newest version the ability to display those highlightes on the right side of the screen was stripped away leaving our highlighted categories completely useless. No warning given, just a decision to REMOVE a feature. It doesn’t really matter though since the program no longer syncs properly. Sermons can be added on one device but cannot be synced. The average time to restore the program on a brand new device for me is about 3 days. The number of times that the program crashes per use is about 10 times before you finally shut it off and realize that just a few months ago this company had a fully functional device that was basically working. Now that there has been an upgrade the bible reader is ONLY a bible reader. No notes, sermons, highlights because those functions do not properly work. Please fix this

This piece of software is an invaluable tool for any bible student. It is convenient, easy to use, and can be used on multiple devices. The UI makes it easy to bring all your study materials together. Highly recommend.

I love this app! When I first installed it I thought it was going to be just another plain old bible reading app and nothing more. I soon discovered that the resources that are available are just amazing and can be used to provide greater insight for me during my mediate time. The best thing I can say is, just try it!

The app is very helpful, but please note that it does not support many of the newly added titles that is supported on iOS and Windows. This app has not been updated in quite a while (look at the latest updated date). And the new version has been “coming soon” for a very long time. I have purchased new content that I can’t really use. Shame on me. Just double check your books before you buy them to make sure they can be loaded in this version. If not you will only be able to view them on iOS devices or Windows.

I love this on my iPhone, I use the Greek and Hebrew references all the time. But the Mac version needs some serious upgrades, here are the three biggest challenges I see: 1. Retina display fix. I have a macbook pro with retina display and the text is all grainy. Every once and a while a pop out box comes in crisp and clear, but most of the time it’s clear that the app is not formatted for these newer screens. 2. scrolling: For some reason when you scroll through the text the screen shifts slightly horizontally so that the left edge of the text disappears from view. It should simply scroll vertically with no issue but as it is you can’t read the first letter of every line in the text until you go back and manually adjust it back into view. 3. Finally, I would love it if they could make the copy and paste function easier. to be able to use the native command-C function would be great! As it stands now you have to highlight the given text, scroll up to the little “+” sign that appears next to the highlighted area, and click “copy verses”… doesn’t make sense why it should be that complicated.

So MBP retinas have been out for a while; so retina should be supported by now. The fonts are quite blurry and makes it difficult to read for long periods of time. Kind of sad there hasn’t been an update in almost a year. Please bring retina support! (FWP eh?)

This is THE best free Bible app I’ve ever used! It has so many bells and whistles and is very user friendly. They have “how to” videos on the web to help learn how to use it. They even offer free resources from time to time, the most recent being a book on the Names of God. I highly recommend this app!

I wish that Vietnamese Bible versions would be available, so far, none. Thank you for a great app with English versions.

I use this app across my devices. Everything syncs between the MacBook, iPhone and iPad. I’m never without the ability to look something up. The extra study materials are a plus and being able to have several translations available is phenomenal.

The interface and content are excellent and make for easy search and study. The charts and helps are extremely useful

I have used Bible Tree for years and in all that time I have not found a better app that is cross platform. I can always read on any of my devices and always be in sync. Thanks Olive Tree. God Bless!
