Bible Study App Reviews

I use this application regularly on my iPhone, iPad and Mac. Over all, it’s excellent and extremely flexible. I love the way notes and highlights sync across my devices, and the integration of Evernote. Occasionally there are aspects of the user interface that are less intuitive - mostly around the differences between the various platforms - but it usually doesn’t take long to figure out. My only complaint, really, is that some of the modules are pricey, especially the more academically oriented. But that’s a small price to pay (pun and irony intended!) for very good software.

I have owned Olive Tree Bible software since it came out in Palm Pilot format. The upgrades are incredible. This is my main resource for studies of the Scriptures both at the personal and scholarly level. I combine it on my MacBook, my iPhone and iPad. I never go without it and carry this library in my pocket. It is easy to use and allows for annotations, highlighting and notes. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Easy to use, fast and effective. I particularly love the Strongman’s ESV version. It has been a blessing to my bible study.

As the Pastor of Calvary Grace Church I am required to study to show myself approved. This is my program of choice on the Mac/IOS platforms. Nothing I’ve found tops it. I use Olive Tree for personal reading, devotions, creating Sunday School lessons, Bible Studies and Sermons. It is easy to use and access on my desktop, laptop, iPad and iPhone. I have many Bible vesions and commentaries in my library. each is searchable and I can add annotations, highlights and bookmarks.

An excellent Bible Ebook …..use it for my personal reading each day ….would recommend this app to all.

I’ve been using Olive Tree for several years and am very satisfied both with the reader and all the books that are available. Lots of resources at good prices (fractions of the bound sets of study guides).

I’ve used it since my Palm Pilot days. I appreciate that I was allowed to migrate my purchased Bibles etc. on to my newer devices. I use it for regular reading and for quick look ups while listening to speakers. It is also a solid study tool and offers a wide variety of add ons to complement one’s library. I also received quick and courteous service on the very rare occasion I encountered an issue, usually with a particular Bible version no longer displaying. I’m very pleased and highly recommend this app not only for desktop but also for mobile.

I like the simplicity and the nice user interface. Next to reading paper I find this app the best solution so far as far as ease of reading is concerned. Plus I like the ability to choose your own fonts.

i am happy with this app, never froze or down on me. It is transferable between devices. This help me to keep up with daily bible reading plan. Born and raised Catholic but never really read the bible cover to cover, hopefully I finally able to do this with this app.

Would be 5 stars if occasionally it had sales on christian books. Needs a delete button for books that are no longer wanted. Otherwise practically perfect.

This is the Bible software I use the most on all gadgets and computers. Good deals make me wary of paying full price for anything though!

This has never worked on my MBP from the day I bought it three years ago. Crashes all the time. I have updated, contacted them for a fix, and still no joy. Not only that, I find the interface clunkly, hard to view more then one translation of the Bible easily. Finally I found eSword X, and now that is my go to Bible app. Wish I could give a better review, but too many problems to give more then 1 star.

i use it for my nightly devotion and find it easy to maintain discipline. if anything needs to be improved would be to add a memory for highlighted items.

This app is not accomodating for macbook pro with retina display users running El Capitan because the words come out blurry and jagged. Please fix this.

I love this app and use it all the time. It does everyting I need it to and love studying with it.

Considering how God’s word is meant to guide me through this life safely, it is most helpful to have it readily accessible whenever I need answers to situations I’m unfamiliar with. I have the app on my iMac, macBook Pro and iPhone and find it so very helpfull.
