Bible Study App Reviews

I love it. Use it everyday. I’ve bought over 300 titles (including expensice commentaries). I like the simplicity of the app and the fact that you can get awesome titles at good price. There is other options out there that are more advanced, but they also add complexity (which can be good or bad depending what you want to do). I would love more French Bible version, but I can live with 5 for the moment. Why the 4 stars and not 5, just because there is still room for some improvement.

A go to resource for writing my papers at Bible college. It is accessible and easy to use. I really appreciate that I can access the Expositor’s Bible Commentary and other resources anywhere without the need to carry around large and expensive books.

I love that Bible Study is equally accessible on all my devices—iPad, iPhone, MacBook Air and iMac. It makes it handy for both reading and for more in depth study. I’m a pastor and find it incredibly helpful to use Apple’s split screen function (on my iMac) where I have Bible Study on one side and Pages on the other. Super. I also love the tremendous assortment of resources that are available. I use two multivolume commentary sets quite regularly. This is a great app and I would highly recommend it. Way to go, Olive Tree!

I’ve been using this app for several years and it simply keeps getting better and better. Whether it was the addition of the app on the desktop platform as well as mobile (iPad & iPhone), or the high quality commentaries, dictionaries, study Bibles, or other BIble study tools it’s amazing. The auto syncing is great as it means it doesn’t matter which device I make a highlight, note, or bookmark from - it’s on all my devices. This is no longer just an app for me. It’s the Bible I carry with me wherever I go.

I am thankful first for Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you Olive Tree. I use this App everyday ! I have Downloaded many FREE Books and Bibles. I have also PURCHASED MANY Bible Versions and Commentaries. It is great that all my Studies Sync up SIDE BY SIDE. Very useful…. especially in Sharing Verses with people of other Languages. I am 55 years old and not to Computer friendly….This Resource is easy to use.

It is a great tool for us, preachers of the Word. I use the Bible in Portuguese and I am thankful to Olive Tree for their excelent work serving the Christian community.

Its impossible to read anything because after 5 minutes of usage it started to crash even after restart of the app. However, the functionality is great. App contains great knowledge about the Bible and is very easy to use, until it crashes.

I highly recommend this professional and very friendly app with a great design and expert knowledge. It is a pity that some very useful scholarly resources are quite expensive. But usually they are simply the best. And they work perfectly! Great app!

Something is wrong on Mountain Lion. Cant download any other translation. Please fix it asap!

The software is really nice for studying Bible, original languages and commentaries. I was amazed how fast and stable it works in comparison with iOS and Windows versions. PS. I have been using BibleStudy for 4 years (iPad, iPhone, Windows) and have recently started using it on OS X.

Really great app! But it doesn’t work facebook integration in iOS. Please fix it. Then it would be perfect.

very nice app

I enjoied very much with this program for the suty of the Bible, the amazing amount of dictionary, commentaries and other documentation give you to opportunity to shape your personal library and met all your needs (Of corse it’s depends on the money you want to spend). But I find the serch of word very poor it could be implemented with boolean and wildcards search. I miss the possibility to compare different Bible tesxt or dictionary text.

Finally got my app up and running - it took turning off my computer and restarting it so I could reload and update the app. If I can figure out how to use the maps, I’ll be in good shape now!! I’ve bought a number of resources, and am particularly enjoying Wuest’s expanded translation of the New Testament. It’s just interesting to see how it would have sounded to hear Jesus and his disciples talking.

When it comes to the vast selection of Bibles, Bible Studies, and other books this app is wonderful. When it comes to actually using this app it’s a pain in the butt. However the one on iOS seems to be a lot better. Some strange reason the app on Mac just can’t handle being worked hard so it ends up crashing. I’m not sure why either but I’ll be using it then suddenly I need to switch Bibles and it freezes on me then I go to close it and that freezes on me so I have to manully force close it (Not even command Q will work) then start all over agian. I’ve since given up saving my notes to it as that was a utter nightmare but I love the ease of having so many Bible Translations so I keep using it despite its flaws. maybe one day it will get better then ever.

I absolutely love how easy it is to navigate this Bible app, I look forward to using it every morning, you are able to switch Book and verse so quickly, you can ajust the size of the print which is very important to me,

I have been using Olive Tree for a several years, and overall I like the feel of the new update, though I have a few suggestions. Suggestions: 1. at least one AUDIO Bible. 2. notes should allow text formatting & bullet/number LISTS. 3. notes should be SCROLLABLE in series (just like Olive Tree’s commentaries) and of course linked to the main window just as the commentaries are. 4. lastly, it would be nice to add David Guzik’s commentary to the library Looking forward to additional progress! cheers n’ blessings, Garrett
